1965 Chevrolet Chevy II/Nova
The Chevrolet Chevy II/Nova was a small automobile manufactured by Chevrolet, and produced in five generations for the 1962 through 1979, and 1985 through 1988 model years.
The 1965 Chevrolet Chevy II and Nova were updated with cleaner front-end styling courtesy of a fresh full-width grille with new integrated headlight bezels. Parking lights moved down to the deep-section bumper, and sedans gained a new roofline, taillight and backup lights were restyled, as was the rear cove.
Chevy’s Nova was the compact for the serious enthusiast, the individualist whose goal was not to wow the easily impressed, but to go fast on guile and light weight.
The Chevy II was designed from the outset for a V-8 and like the one we have at Classic Vintage Exchange it could be ordered with a 283 cubic inch engine that had 220-horsepower with a four-barrel carb, and dual exhaust. The Power Glide transmission that is in our Nova was optional.
The 283 engine sits in a original looking compartment with factory correct intake, valve covers, cast iron exhaust manifolds, oil fill tube, and more.
This Nova is as original as you can get! This is an original car with 283 engine power glide transmission with power steering and brakes. Matching numbers with protector plate. The car was just painted because the old acrylic paint was cracking, and it was painted back to the original color.
Our Nova has a correct 283 V8 that it was born with and beige paint and red interior as documented by the Trim Tag on the Nova. Options on the car show it also had:
· E = A01 Tinted Glass
· M = M35 Powerglide Trans
· P = U63 Push Button Radio
· S = U73 Rear Antenna
· R = U80 Rear Seat Speaker
· C = B70 Padded Dash
The super nice red interior features a bench seat with textured vinyl trim, painted dashboard that has great chrome trim with an ammeter, oil pressure, speedometer, and temperature gauges as well as the radio. The rest of the interior is just as nice with red carpet, door panels, seat belts, and headliner all in red and all in great shape.
The Nova looks like it did back in 1965 as it rides on Chevrolet Rally wheels and black wall tires, with all body panels, trim, and chrome bumpers, and the factory 283 cross flag emblems.
If you want to own a classic muscle car from the 60’s the 1965 Chevrolet Chevy II/Nova that we have at Classic Vintage Exchange is a great choice. It is sooo original, has a great original 283 motor and Power Glide tranny, all the options listed above, with the factory correct engine, trans, exterior paint color, and correct red interior should seal the deal.
