1967 Chevrolet Custom Truck

The C/K was Chevrolet and GMC's full-size pickup truck line from 1960 until 2000 in the United States and Canada. A new, more modern look came in 1967, along with a new nickname: "Action Line".

It was with this revision of the C/K truck that General Motors began to add comfort and convenience items to a vehicle line that had previously been for work purposes alone. The majority of 10 series and some 20 series Chevrolet trucks from 1967 to 1972 were equipped with a coil spring trailing arm rear suspension, which greatly improved the ride over traditional leaf springs.

All 2-wheel drive trucks came with independent front suspension and 1967 was the only year for the "small rear window".

The 67 we have here at Classic Vintage Exchange is a modified version with upgrades in all areas to make it streetable, more powerful, comfortable, and better handling.

To begin with it has a great paint color scheme of shiny gray with custom pinstripes and graphic designs on the front, sides, and back. It retains the chrome front bumpers and grill while having a custom rear bumper replacement added. The bed is protected with a matching spray-in bed liner.

When it comes to an engine, a small block Chevy 383 Stroker motor with a 4-speed ransmission is great, and that is what out Truck has. Plenty of horsepower is made with the addition of an aluminum intake, performance Holley carb, performance distributor, box, and spark plug wires, open air cleaner, and headers that pull the spent gasses out via side exhaust outlets on either side of the truck. Chrome valve cover, detail engine compartment, heat shield plug protectors, and a H.d. Radiator also help add to the appeal and performance.

The interior features a black plush bench seat, matching side panels, black carpet, 4-speed Hurst T-Handle and shifter, sport steering wheel, factory and aftermarket performance gauges, and radio.

The 1967 truck rides on wide custom ten-spoke mag wheels with performance black wall tires. Overall it rides, drives, accelerates, and handles a whole lot better than it did when it was stock.
